some key findings about what do young Romanians want (study by GFK)
25% of them want to leave Romania for good (I would have some years ago, not anymore).
49% of them would like to leave Romania at least for one or two years for studying or working abroad (hmm…studying sounds nice).
83% of them want their own apartment (GIEV!)
81% want a good job (but some want their legal age first)
73% want to be financially independent
64% of them want a family (no kids included)
Here is how „the future sounds” according to the study:
76% of them think of a better future (better for us but not the other hard-working, change-loving people in this country)
74% of them think Romania joining the EU will bring more opportunities.
what do they think is needed in order to be successful:
self-confidence – 81% (nice to see they’re aware)
solid education – 76% (…solid practice)
foreign languages – 72% (this should be higher)
own skills – 69%
professional competencies – 68%
good looking – 38% (if that means big boobs and blonde dudes with blue eyes, then yes, of course you have to be good looking. don’t you wanna get hired somewhere?)
going around the law – 23%
be a member of a political party – 23% (poor them).
