This one with Alitalia was a little bit exaggerated… and it was mostly to scare the personnel that was not signing the new agreements and work contracts. The fuel that Alitalia use is provided (in Italy) by ENI (a kind of Romania’s Petrom or Rompetrol) that is own by the government. So Berlusconi called ENI’s boss and said: you cut it, I cut you! Simple guys… this is politics. And Alitalia will not die so easy… because it’s a political problem in Italy… If the company fails, the goverment will fall quickly. Alitalia its a very big, important for the Italian citizens, brand!
