It’s Google Talk
Sweet, crisp and clean design, all the basic necessary features are available and I do hope Google is going to keep its promise to leave it ad-free, without all the clutter caused by unwanted ads and ‘Insiders’ (*hint hint Yahoo & MSN*). I find it great that you only need a name and e-mail address to use it, instead of creating a profile with your work place, cool links and other unnecessary details.
Being still in BETA, it isn’t possible to call or chat with non-Gmail users through Google Talk but THANK GOD you can’t (yet). It doesn’t offer different fonts and I think it’s better this way, for all us spartans who hate rainbow text and gay fonts from gay users who abuse them. No audibles (ah the relief), no smiles – I’d rather they just use some few basic emotions instead of the whole pallette of faces.
Not yet ported to mobile phones, but I think it might just make it to our phones 😀
